About ipixx

A marketing agency that shows its work.

ipixx is a marketing agency. We offer two managed services: Optimus, a monthly service that keeps your website and content current, and managed marketing, scoped for businesses that need more. In both, you see the work and approve it before it goes live.

Why we work this way

Marketing can feel like a black box: you pay each month, and it’s hard to see what was done or why. We built ipixx to work the other way, with the plan, the drafts, and the decisions in front of you.

  • We agree the work, fees, and limits before work starts.
  • We show you drafts before anything goes live.
  • We ask for your approval before publishing or approved campaign spend.
  • We say plainly what we don't promise: rankings, leads, or revenue.

The founders

ipixx was founded by Shawn Sloan and Joe Matuella: one has spent his career on brands and businesses, the other on the technology underneath them.

Co-founder

Shawn Sloan

Nearly two decades building technology that can't afford to fail, now keeping your marketing running.

Shawn Sloan has spent nearly two decades as the architect behind mission-critical technology, in places where downtime is unacceptable and a wrong decision is measured in money, reputation, or continuity.

His career follows the last twenty years of enterprise technology. He started with high-availability data centers and networks, moved early into software-defined networking with Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and Juniper Contrail for financial institutions, healthcare systems, and other high-compliance organizations, and then into zero-trust security. His work has reached high-security government-related environments, major cybersecurity incident responses, professional sports stadiums, and company-wide transformations.

When AI arrived, he looked past the hype at the gap between what it could do and what businesses believed it could do. AI isn't a feature you switch on. It needs strategy, governance, and discipline.

That's the standard he brings to ipixx. Optimus keeps your website and content current, ipixx Workroom runs your marketing for you, and in both you see the work and approve it before it goes live.

How he works

Tools don't create an advantage on their own. Systems do, and they should be lean, governed, and built around outcomes rather than complexity: something you can understand, run, secure, and improve.

What he brings to your marketing

  • AI and automation that stay governed and explainable
  • Security-minded design, shaped by zero-trust architecture
  • Infrastructure built to keep running
  • Governance that keeps AI safe, compliant, and on brief
  • Connected systems built for speed and control

Co-founder

Joe Matuella

More than 30 years in advertising, PR, and turnaround, focused on the brand and the business behind it.

Joe Matuella has spent more than 30 years in advertising, PR, corporate turnaround, crisis leadership, and value acceleration, often called in when a company's brand, reputation, or future was on the line.

He has run companies, not just advised them. He has made payroll and faced down collapse. He has repaired reputations, rebuilt cultures, and restored credibility for founders and executives under pressure.

So he treats marketing as part of the business, not a side project. Brand, culture, operations, leadership, and value are connected. If one breaks, the rest follow.

At ipixx, he brings that judgment to your marketing: what to say, where to say it, and what to fix first. He leads with endless energy, relentless curiosity, and a knack for finding clarity in chaos.

How he works

Truth, fairness, preparation, and communication. It's why ipixx puts the plan, the drafts, and the decisions in front of you before anything goes live.

What he brings to your marketing

  • Brand rebuilding and market repositioning
  • Reputation repair for founders and companies
  • Putting AI and automation to work on marketing and operations
  • Rebuilding culture and leadership clarity
  • Building value for companies preparing to grow, sell, or recover
